In Which It Becomes A Little Clearerer To I
I’m trying to listen to more right-wing radio. WTTT has all the hits from Michael “Not Politicizing My Father” Reagan to Bill “20-1 The Hooker I’m Banging Doesn’t Go To Church” Bennett.
Last night on the way home, Michael Reagan banged the flip-flop drum and suggested the best reason to vote for Bush was that he prayed every morning. He derided a recent poll that found that most of the world wanted bush out of office. “I’m an AMERICAN,” he blanched, “I don’t care what the rest of the world thinks of us! I don’t care what FRANCE and GERMANY think of the fact that American liberated two countries and freed millions of people from enslavement! I don’t care! America stands alone for a reason! We don’t care what other countries think!”
Woot!
The worse thing about listening to AM radio (outside of listening to college educated rednecks) is the commercials. Lots and lots and lots of commercials. Lots of them. You can figure out the demographic of certain TV shows by the commercials they play. Lifetime=tampons, Football=beer, NPR=begging and pleading. So, what to make of a radio station with commercials promising to teach you how to speak properly “in job interviews”? Who would need such services? What might be the reason for a Hooked on Phonics ad at 1:18am? Why advertise for a degree in Janitorial Services?
Could it be, and I’m just positing here, that the people who listen to right-wing radio are IDIOTS who only think and speak at a fourth grade level?
Perhaps that would explain why Dennis Prager trashed the value of a college education saying, “these intellectuals spend their whole lives in school! From the time they’re born until their fifty! I tell everybody I know – take a year off before you go to college. Live in the real world.”
I’m sure the every single low-paid hourly worker listening nodded their head in agreement and tried to find the words to express their approval. And all they came up with was “uh-huh”.

Hello, Paul.
They’re a strange lot, these USA Talk Radio hosts, aren’t they? They all seem to be broadcasting from the right of centre opinion wise, too. I suppose they believe that what they are saying is the truth, though. We have some odd ones over here, too. I personally can’t stand listening to them as I get upset at the way they blow away anyone who dares to disagree with them. I wouldn’t allow them to get to me, personally.
All the best.
